Our production

Our production focuses mainly on 4 large blocks: the Canarian palm, the date palm, the robust Washington and the excellent medjoul and confitera dates from in vitro palm trees. We also have a wide variety of trees and palm trees available to our clients such as coconut palm, chamaerops or washingtonia filifera among others.

Phoenix Canariensis

Single trunk palm, thick, straight. They can reach heights of 20 meters and up to 80-90 cm in diameter in the trunk, covered with the remains of the bases of old leaves. The Phoenix Canariensis or Canarian Palm is a plant native to the Canary Islands and is widely used throughout the Mediterranean area as an ornamental plant. It is probably the most decorative species of the entire family of Palmáceas.

Phoenix Dactylífera

Slender palm with a thin trunk, with daughters at its base giving rise to groups of great beauty. They can reach heights of 30 meters and 40-50 cm in diameter in the trunk, covered with the remains of the bases of old leaves. Very used as an ornamental plant and for its production of dates, although only a small percentage give quality dates. Resistant to high temperatures and withstands high dry seasons.

They are female date palms propagated from the terminal apex of a mother plant of high commercial interest in order to produce healthy, genetically equal vitroplants with dates of excellent taste and visual quality. We have two types of palm trees, the Medjoul variety that is internationally known and the Confitera variety that is native and exclusive to the Ilicitano Palm Grove.

Washingtonia Robusta

The robust Washingtonia also known as Mexican fan palm, is very slender in size and can reach heights of 30 meters. Its growth is fast and its trunk very thin which gives it an elegant appearance. The leaves have a very characteristic fan shape. This palm tree has a great ornamental use and is also ideal for forming alignments in parks and avenues.

Washingtonia Filifera

The Washingtonia filifera also known as Palma de California. It is next to the palm trees of the genus Phoenix one of the most used species for gardening in Mediterranean climates due mainly to its robust and powerful appearance. It can reach to 20 meters high. It withstands hot summers well but in winter it has a relative resistance to cold withstanding short-term frost.

Trachycarpus Fortunei

Trachycarpus fortunei also known as Chamaerops excelsa is a palm tree native to China but used as an ornamental plant in all temperate areas for its good resistance to cold and high temperatures. It has a single trunk, very thin and hairy, easily recognizable, which can reach 12-14 meters high. The leaves are patted with a limbo about 50 cm long and 75 cm wide.

It is commonly known as Palmito or dwarf palm, being the only species of native palm of the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. It can reach heights of 4-5 meters and the main trunk is usually branched from its base by several trunks of equal or smaller size giving rise to groups of extraordinary beauty widely used in gardening.

Also known as Bottle Tree or Drunk Stick. It is a deciduous tree native to the hot and humid forests of South America. Its main feature is the shape of its trunk that presents a thickening in its central part that can reach 2 meters in diameter that serves to store water, thus being able to resist months of drought. It is considered as one of the most beautiful trees.

It is a plant native to southern Japan, a paradigmatic example of pseudopalms. It can also be grown as an indoor plant because it does not withstand the cold, although in Spain it vegetates to taste in the Mediterranean area. Cycas have a very slow growth and are very long and can reach two hundred years of age. It is a very symmetrical plant of great beauty, with a high ornamental value.

Kentia (Howea Forsteriana)

It is the palm tree most used in homes as an indoor plant. It is very decorative due to its long and thin arched leaves. In warm climates it can also be planted outdoors, in shaded gardens or in planters in patios or terraces. They usually have 8-10 large leaves and their growth is very slow and can reach 2 meters in height.

Yucca Elephantipes

Also known as Yuca elephant foot. It is an arborescent plant with origin in Central America. It can be grown both indoors and outdoors, reaching 10 meters high with a woody stem that branches. The leaves are perennial, numerous and pointed, exceeding one meter in length. It is an easy to grow plant, very resistant to pests and diseases. It multiplies from its lateral shoots.

Also known as Feathery Coco or Arecastrum romanzoffiana, it is an elegant tropical-looking palm tree and very decorative. Together with the palm trees of the genus Phoenix and Washingtonia, it is surely the most used urban palm in the world. Its trunk can reach 15-20 meters high and 30-60 cm in diameter at its base. Suitable for temperate and tropical climates. It only resists punctual frosts.
